Deel(Jun 2023 - Dec 2024)

getting started-

  • After a year working as a chef, I wanted more ownership, impact, and upside — so I moved into tech/startups.
  • GTM was the fastest way in, so I learnt everything about b2b sales on the internet and started applying.
  • Sent a cold email to the head of sales at Deel with a video, he called me for an interview and offered the role. (also posted about me)

what i did-

  • Did GTM as an outbound sales rep and finished at 220% YTD avg across 2 years.
  • Built outbound motions from scratch in cold territories and new market segments, which generated quota-exceeding pipeline in untapped regions.
  • Designed sequencing frameworks and messaging playbooks that increased reply rates by ~50% and closed-won deals by ~30% across the sales org.
  • Ran constant A/B tests on outbound strategies, then turned the learnings into training + templates to ramp new hires.

Americano(2021 - 22)

  • I wanted to become a chef — but had zero restaurant kitchen experience.
  • Americano was one of the best restaurants in Bombay, and had been featured in the World’s 50 Best restaurant list.
  • So I cold emailed the head chef and asked for a job.
  • He told me to show up the next day for a trial shift. I did — and got hired.
  • Worked 16-hour days, no weekends off, made a million carbonaras and practically slept on the restaurant floor for a year. Enjoyed the grind but didn't seem exciting enough in the long run so moved to tech.
